  1. The game tests communications and tactics. Those tactics can only be passed on with good communications. removing a communications method, because most people don't use it is NOT the fault of those that do use it. Most players can't afford to buy resources but no one would remove that ability for the same reason that being most players don't use it. I/We could come up with a large number of examples that would show removing the surveys is a really bad decision. There's also a lot of German text re-appearing in the game. One example is the shipyard as you purchase a new ship. There are a number of boxes where you accept/ confirm an action that are being affected.
  2. I just wanted to congratulate the new forum and chat mods. We all know it will be a thankless task when you have to take action but go for it with a clear head and kid gloves. Hopefully there will be no mod baiting as previously witnessed and everyone will support your work by thinking and typing until the red mist has dispersed. Well done. I am sure many like myself thought of applying but felt they couldn't give the level of commitment needed.
  3. The surveys were very useful but it was a shame that only one could be run at one time. When a company is looking for a series of views at one time. This would have allowed the process to take a day or two as opposed to well over a week. I think they should be brought back in an enhanced format.
  4. I hope this is an unintentional "feature" of the upgrade. When doing a company fishing assignment it no longer show how much of that type of fish you have in your warehouse. This is a backward step and means a lot more clicks instead of seeing the amount when hovering the old deposit button. I hope that this can be reversed.
  5. I think this is a really good idea and certainly doesn't turn it into a war game. A little bit of an over reaction there I am afraid Sall. Then of course the Companies in 2nd and 3rd place could merge which is more than likely all that Sall is bothered about. there has been a lot of banter for a certain company and it has been very aggressive. It reminds me of the old say "Be nice to the people that you meet on the way up as you may meet them on the way back down again!" In other games I have play Companies, Alliances, clans, call them what you will have merged and enhanced the gameplay. It certainly livens things up. In those games the players held the points and took them where they went to. BigBait may be too difficult given the assets of the companies involved. Merely my thoughts and opinions folks.
  6. I must admit that there are some strange colours used where the foreground text and background MUST cause problems for those that are colour blind. Colour blindness not being a blindness of colours but the fact that certain colours merge into each other and can't be seen.
  7. We can't move anything but luckily we can upgrade. It's as though when something was added the page info got corrupted so errors are appearing when any graphical changes are made.
  8. Hi People, Does anyone else suffer from problems when in build mode in the Company? If I enter build mode it is not possible to exit correctly. I have to refresh the tab. This isn't something new so has nothing to do with a recent upgrades. It started mid December. My reps have the same problem. We have all cleared caches, rebooted computers and even different browsers. It began straight after I put our last bungalow in. A box came up saying an error occurred but the bungalow was placed. Trying to exit build mode then didn't work. I went back in to try to move some buildings and keep getting this error message. So we cannot move buildings. I put the new monument in today and got the same error but the monument was put in place. Any advice and/or intervention from the Devs would be appreciated. TIA
  9. Without 2 way dialogue nothing can happen and I am hopeful that we are in dialogue. There are a number of changes that have been made. Negativity gets us nowhere. I have read a fair amount of the German boards and it often descends into chaos/anarchy with people entrenched in their views that UniKat won't sort things. If three things are put forward and one is taken on board and put in action then I call that a success. To think that every single thing can be implicated , well, it just doesn't happen. Any programming changes can have a knock on effect. I have more hope for this game than others I play where there is NO dialogue with the support and/or devs. We have to keep the dream alive.
  10. One of my members reported this to me. The only way to deal with it is to go to full screen. Big Bait seems to use pixels instead of percentages on some things which means it doesn't cope well at a lower resolution. If it's on a laptop you more than likely are running at the best resolution. It really shouldn't happen. Even at a higher resolution, as has already been mentioned, you still have to close down the small map to be able to get to Tblisi. HTH

  12. Hi, I was looking at someone's profile and then clicked to send them a message. The message screen/box opened behind the profile box. This means that you have to delete the profile box to send the messages. Which in turn means you need to open the profile again to send an invite. This may be linked to the open profile, click on company, select another person from the company and it opens behind everything else. May just be ordering that require a tweak.

  15. I can't claim the making them work like rarities as that came as an extra from one of my Company members. I then just expanded on that but thanks anyway Hubris, I don't know about BigKat but a lot of companies that make economy based tactical games don't have their devs playing full time so they can't necessarily spot these things.
  16. There's also the issue where not all plastics at sea are in need of recycling. Apparently lots of "Nurdles" are lost at sea. Nurdles are the very small pellets that are used to make plastics. BTW Nurdles is the true name of the pellets. Maybe the claimed resources would be like the rarities with fishing grounds having a % likelihood of gaining resources.
  17. @Cookie-san The problem with a member being promoted and not being able to use the trawler was reported in the General Chat by another company. So I have no first hand experience of it. We often drop a Rep down to Company Member to check what is showing on their screens when sorting out a problem for a Company Member. We just opted not to do this until the trawler had ended. As the Company owner can not drop to a Company member level is it possible to add a button that allows the owner to view screens as if they were a company member. This would be especially helpful when making videos to help our members.

  19. Well seeing as there's hardly been ANY resources over the weekend I have to guess that it's broke or people are purposely buying everything up as soon as it hits the market. It is ridiculous that materials out of the building yard only amount to 780 random units a day. The raise of 3 units per level is pitiful. Take into account that another level takes two to three days and it really is diminishing returns as you can't "bank" the labour force while it is building. @Chrischan I have just watched it and everything in the raw materials market disappears within a minute.
  20. @Chrischan I don't think it would be unreasonable to expect BigKat to put something in place so that we could download (export) the history in csv or excel format.
  21. Ok just a thought. Given the world problem with plastics at sea why not lead the world and advertise your game as being the first to address the issue and bring players attention to this global problem? While ships are catching fish or crustaceans why not allow the ships to actually help the environment by collecting plastic as they go about their work? You could put in a building that would recycle the "goods" or if that's not possible just skip to having x amount of plastic appear in your inventory. It could end up being really good advertising and PR bringing in more players. Ed
  22. I think most of it will enhance the game but surely you could leave the marina and add the new building elsewhere. Sall has a very valid point regarding the gold. Not only when buying down but the 10 or 20 gold used to start it while something else was running. It's going to be very hard to work out who did what. I'd like to suggest the whole buying and selling of resources be revised. This an economy driven game and the real currency isn't gold or credits. It is resources. You can't do anything in a Company with your members having resources. The Building Yard puts out very low levels of resources compared to other games I have played where the resources were say Ore, Crystal and Hydro. In this game Plastic used to be highest priced but it still was moderate. Now everything is being traded at the highest prices and strangling the game especially for lower ranked players. Buying resources is virtually bankrupting players and making them less likely to work in the Company FF. The way it is at the moment is that the rich get richer and the in game economy is in major decline.
  23. I ran into a problem while doing the resources for the Trawler event. It's bad enough that you have to click an extra confirm button when using items. If you click to use the time the extra box appears. If you accidentally click to sell the item there is no second confirm box which makes no sense at all. If you click to use the item you retain whatever it was. Once it is sold then you no longer have it. The second confirm box really should be there if anywhere at all.
  24. I agree. As far as I saw one person reacted to say it was unacceptable and on tried to justify their right to say. It quickly died off. @mr.yumfy You are absolutely right. They tend to be when schools are off and scriptkiddies (as they are often described) and soon go away when ignored. I think what I have seen in the chat the older (time served) members react as they should but there are people that want to troll the troll and end up causing things to get out of hand. It would be really nice if the chat could be self regulating with peer pressure and/or kid gloves from moderators. Your idea for a rewrite of the rules is a good direction to go. Then BigKat has to back it up. I have played a lot of games and none of this is new. I've also moderated/admin on business and social fora. Laying down the rules in a concise and clear manner and then issuing a warning (not a threat) when the rules are being pushed allowing a time to account for lag or the "troll" (for want of a better word because it isn't all trolling) to have seen the warning. Then take action. Asking people if they are looking for a ban is totally out of order. I think we all agree that the moderators should have English as their first language and understand what is banter and what is personal attacks. I will add that this forum should be promoted and also it has more interaction by admin/moderators. My own experience is that questions asked in here and answered will reduce tickets requesting help and when someone gives bad information it can be clarified. I once saw a user ask in chat about extra mods to ships and got told that for 10 gold they could receive another batch of 38 updates on top of the normal 38. I saw it some hours after it had been said and it would be too time consuming to try to put it right without naming the person and it appearing to be an attack on that person. Hey ho! Let's hope we can get it all working nicely. For a game that requires communications between players I find it very difficult to do that due to the chat limitations.
