Headquarters why expand?

Can any enlighten me as to how the company benefits by expanding (levelling up) the Headquarters.

Is seems it is only to gain extra prestige but does that actually do anything for the Company?

From my point of view the advantage  to upgrading the headquarters is not solely a benefit to the company in only reputation  gained , But the % of experience  gained in the fish factories that benefits the members .this acting as an incentive to get the members to do more runs and the more runs done the more there is to sell for credits to companies credit account it also lowers the need to bid less on fish factory production certs. saving credits   

The biggest benefit i see over all is higher ep in fish factories Makes company members happy  .

a happy company member is a productive one
