Ahoy Seamen,

due to feedback from our community, we will adjust some values of the public contracts. You can finde the complete changelog in this post.

General

All public contracts will now last the full duration of 2 hours. The contract will not end, when the first company delivers 100% of the volume. Therefore the drawback for the others companies isn't that severe. They can still achieve 100%.

A major issue of the old reward system is, that companies that do not achieve the first place get too little rewards for their effort and they are too complicated to break down for the players. We will make following adjustments with the next patch:

  • The basic reward holds now 25% less ressources and credits.
  • The reputation gain is now graded in groups. This circumvents a tactic, where some companies reduced their member count to achieve a better grouping.
    • Group 1: 250 reputation
    • Group 2: 300 reputation
    • Group 3: 400 reputation
    • Group 4: 550 reputation
    • Group 5: 750 reputation
  • The first company to achieve 100% in their group gets 200% of the basic reward (This translates into a 50% raise by comparison to the old system).
  • The height of the reward for the remaining companies are now based on different milestones. The old loser price pool, which was devided by fishing quota has been removed.
    • If your company achieves less than 10% of the needed volume, you will receive no reward.
    • If your company achieves more than 10% but less than 25% of the needed volume, you will receive 10% of the basic reward.
    • If your company achieves more than 25% but less than 50% of the needed volume, you will receive 25% of the basic reward.
    • If your company achieves more than 50% but less than 100% of the needed volume, you will receive 50% of the basic reward.
    • If your company achieves 100% of the needed volume, but isn't in first place, you will receive 100% of the basic reward.

This differentiation should improve your planning and decision making. The spread an risk in the higher echelons is higher but much more rewarding.

Bonuses for hard-working company members

The bonuses for the five best company members will now provided to all companies who have reached 100% of the volume.

New grading system

  • The best company member receives 175 prestige (down from 250).
  • The second best company member receives 140 prestige (down from 200).
  • The third best company member receives 105 prestige (down from 150).
  • The fourth best company member receives 70 prestige (down from 100).
  • The fifth best company member receives 35 prestige (down from 50).
